The PDC Ensemble also known as Rhythm Revue Dance Company is a competition and performance group for girls and boys ages five to 18. This team of dancers is comprised of students who want to commit to dance on a greater stage. This consists of more time and resources to include additional classes and rehearsals for competition numbers, which may include weekend and holiday rehearsals. The PDC Ensemble also has requirements of team apparel, make up and accessories, along with fees for choreography, rehearsals and competitions. Dancers will be required to take a more intense curriculum of classes along with the PDC Ensemble rehearsal schedule. 

The focus is on the serious dancer. This group is for students who show exceptional dedication and talent for dance. These dancers are selected each year through an audition process and extensively train in all areas of dance. Ensemble dancers will grow both technically and stylistically each year with their participation. The competition team strives to develop a performance based dancer. All dancers are trained to be professional both on and off the stage. They will learn what it takes to dance as a team and be costumed professionally. Our team participates in both regional dance competitions and dance workshops/conventions. We may travel to out of town venues for competition or convention purposes too. 

Ensemble dancers have been given opportunities to entertain at various charity and community based performances too.  Some local events have included The Teen Talent Show at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, VP Parade floats over the July 4th holiday, Thanksgiving Day parade in downtown St. Louis, Broadway Kid’s Night at the Fabulous Fox and Variety Club’s Annual Dinner with the Stars. This group has traveled to NYC, Disney World and Universal Studios in the past to perform as well. Many of these dancers have gone on to top college programs in dance and musical theatre in pursuit of professional careers including University of Michigan, Oklahoma City University,  Point Park University, Indiana University, American Musical and Dramatic Academy-LA and NYC. This group provides the avenue for additional training to further develop and enhance a dancer’s performance skills. Currently, we have PDC alumni performing on Broadway, Las Vegas, LA, Disney and in National touring companies living out their performance dreams. PDC Ensemble alumni have also found success in a variety of career fields, not only in the dance world, but also in education, marketing, sales, journalism, health care, engineering and architectural design. The discipline, time management, perseverance, and other life skills learned through the competition team experience serves students well throughout their lives.
